About Makilla Gorilla
Both parental lines originate from Psilocybe cubensis. Albino Penis Envy is associated with a very pale phenotype and substantial fruiting bodies, while Melmac Revert reflects a return towards a more classic cubensis form while retaining selected Melmac characteristics. In breeder terminology, a “revert” is a line in which fruiting bodies resembling an earlier or more conventional phenotype reappear and are then selected over successive generations. It does not mean that all earlier genetic changes have been reversed. The resulting Makilla Gorilla line retains elements of both parents and is commonly associated with high yield potential.

The fruiting bodies develop very thick, fleshy, pale stems and relatively small golden-beige caps. The caps rarely open fully, while the stems preserve the substantial proportions associated with the Penis Envy family.
