Melmack PE Ready-to-Grow bag – Mykolaborian

If you’re interested in mycology and looking for new strains to study under a microscope, you’ll certainly be intrigued by the Melmack PE Growkit. It’s a unique hybrid of the highly regarded Melmack and Penis Envy. It combines the various properties of both varieties, making observations truly surprising. The kit is intended solely for amateur research.

What characterizes the Melmack PE strain

Melmack itself is a derivative of Penis Envy, so the genetic combination of both variants guarantees intriguing effects that can be observed under a microscope. To better understand what Melmack PE is, it’s worth learning more about both variants. Penis Envy, developed in collaboration by Steven Pollock and Terence McKenna, was bred from an Amazonian Psilocybe cubensis. However, it has undergone numerous modifications thanks to the work of various researchers. Melmack, on the other hand, is a more primitive PE variant, making the Melmack PE growkit a fusion of genetic engineering and nature.

The fruiting bodies that result from this combination are characterized by a long, massive stem and a proportionally small, jellyfish-shaped cap. A slight curl of the cap and a soft stem indicate maturity. Although colonization is very rapid, fruiting body development can be quite slow (it grows best at temperatures of 22-25°C). This results in a higher concentration of alkaloids, characteristic of these mushrooms. The Melmack PE growkit allows for a closer look at the early stages of this variant’s development.
